Russian information companies operating abroad in June 2024

RF conducting active measures abroad (20.05.2024-06.06.2024):
  • 1. Campaign to destabilize the EU: A man wounded four people with a knife in the subway between Debourg and Jean-Jaurès stations in Lyon, 26.05 (Maxim Brandstetter, Sylvain Alleman, BFMTV journalist). The union of air traffic controllers called for a strike at the Paris-Orly airport on 25-26.05 with the demand of "sufficient staffing"; 70% of flights canceled (Le Parisien).

  • About 70 police officers broke up a Nazi-style party in the German community of Kref (Oliver Grotmann, Bild journalist, Germany). In France, hundreds of environmental activists disrupted a meeting of asset manager Amundi, a shareholder of TotalEnergies, to condemn the multinational company's polluting activities (BFMTV). The Dutch Farmers' Defense Force (FDF) is mobilizing to demonstrate in the Belgian capital on June 4 to defend their industry and way of life (Thomas O'Reilly, European Conservative).

  • 2. Deterioration of relations between Muslim countries and Western countries: A mass protest against Israel's strikes on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip was held in Paris, and almost 10,000 people took part in it (RIA Novosti). Police officers used water and tear gas on the actions at the Israeli embassy in Brussels (RIA Novosti, 05/29). The Houthis have struck six commercial vessels in the Mediterranean, Red and Arabian seas (Yahya Saria, military spokesman for Yemen's Ansar Allah movement).

Authoritarian countries:

China Countering Western aid to Ukraine, IN: Ukraine asked for 130 F-16 fighter jets in exchange for the lives of its soldiers, a "Vietnam" tactic that the US is training the U.S. military to use, outdated and life-threatening for pilots (Sohu).

Algeria. Weakening of US Geopolitical Position, IN: US May Inflame China's War with Taiwan, China's Current Actions Are Against Pushing the Island to Full Independence (Muhammad Salim Kalala, Al Shorouk Author).
